The Ishan Institute of Management and Technology conducted a 10-session workshop titled “Vyaparniti: The Art of Business and Innovation” for students of B. Com, B. Com (Hons.), BBA, and BA LLB, with the goal of nurturing entrepreneurial talent and developing essential business competencies. The workshop was inaugurated with an inspiring session by the key speaker, Dr. Tushar Arya, a distinguished Chartered Accountant and startup mentor, known for his deep expertise in financial strategy, business planning, and entrepreneurship development. He shared his professional journey, offering valuable insights into real-world business challenges and the mindset needed to succeed as an entrepreneur.
Out of more than 100 applicants, 30 students with the most promising startup ideas were selected and grouped into six teams of five members each. Over the course of ten interactive and engaging sessions, each lasting two hours, students explored critical aspects of launching a startup, including ideation, market research, branding, costing and finance, team building and leadership, business models, licensing, negotiation, and networking.
The sessions featured real-world case studies, practical activities, and in-depth guidance to help participants refine and develop their business ideas. Supporting Dr. Tushar Arya were two dedicated Assistant Professors—Ms. Tulsi Aggarwal and Mr. Ankit Bhati, who provided continuous mentorship and facilitated hands-on learning throughout the workshop.
By the end of the programme, students had significantly refined their initial startup ideas and presented them in final pitch sessions for potential funding support. The workshop proved to be a valuable platform for young innovators to gain confidence, collaborate effectively, and take meaningful steps toward becoming successful entrepreneurs.
