At Ishan Institute of Management and Technology, we are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all our students. We have a zero-tolerance policy towards ragging, bullying, and any form of harassment.

What is Ragging?

“Ragging is any disorderly conduct, whether by words spoken or written, or by an act which has the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness any student, indulging in rowdy or undisciplined activities which cause or are likely to cause annoyance, hardship or psychological harm or to raise fear or apprehension thereof in a fresher or a junior student and which has the effect of causing or generating a sense of shame or embarrassment so as to adversely affect the psyche of a fresher or a junior student.”

In Consonance with Hon'ble Supreme Court of India and directives, Anti-Ragging Cell is reconstituted with the following members.

Preventive Measures

• Orientation programs educating students about ragging's consequences
• Dedicated monitoring committee overseeing campus prevention efforts
• Prevention is a collective responsibility shared by administration, faculty, staff, and students

• Anonymous reporting without fear of reprisals
• Dedicated helplines
• Suggestion boxes across campus
• Online platforms
• Directly to Anti-Ragging Committee members
• To any Faculty member

Consequences & Penalties

• Suspension from the institution
• Expulsion from the institution
• Other appropriate penalties as per severity
• Legal prosecution through cooperation with law enforcement
