Workshop on “Mental Well-being”

About the programme

Ishan Institute of Management and Technology organized a Workshop on “Mental Well-being” held on 11th April 2023, for Management and Commerce students. The aim of organizing this workshop was to raise awareness about the mental health continuum, reduce the stigma associated with mental illness, and promote help-seeking behaviors and emotional well-being practices, individual education, and outreach events. The Guest Speaker Dr. Naveed Khan highlighted that this workshop would help students implement practical, embedded strategies for prevention, early intervention, and management of self-harm and suicide. She used human stories of people who struggle with their own mental health to help everyone understand what it can be like. A sum of 62 students were present for the workshop.
